I just created a new account here today, but even though the site appeared to accept my password initially, it is no longer recognized. I suspect there are certain printable characters that cannot be used in passwords... anyone know what those might be?
I use Password Safe to randomly generate passwords for me, and to keep track of which password belongs to what site. This isn't a case of caps lock or a typo in the password. My passwords do include characters such as %, ^, <, >, @ and so on. I'm guessing there's a bug in the forum software that silently corrupts passwords with "special" characters.
Anyone else seeing this problem?
