I haven't had any trouble with winamp until this week. I don't know what precipitated it, because I haven't installed any new applications, and nobody else uses my computer. I don't have a virus, all I have running in the background is Explorer and Systray, and I just installed winamp 2.62 today, to try to fix the skipping. No such luck. Here is the information I have gathered.

the time denotes when it skipped, all playing the same mp3.
3:36 total length of the mp3
averages about 2 minutes in interval
skips for approximately 1.5-2 seconds.
sounds like a stutter, like "ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-chemicals between us"
I have boosted my buffers up even to the maximum allowed according to other forum postings, and nothing has helped. I would like to avoid reinstalling winamp, if anyone has an idea to solve this problem. Thanks.
