Milkdrop latest 2.0d alone

Hi

Is there anyway to download latest Milkdrop without
having to install Winamp 5.5. I want to try it with
w98 using Winamp 5.24 and possible 2.80.
Winamp 5.5 should not even download to a W98 PC as it
would cause trouble if it did anyway.

Milkdrop2.0 will require DX9 and Winamp 5.12 but you can get it only from the winamp 5.5+ distribution.

what's the matter with Winamp5.5 and Win98 ?

Nullsoft stopped supporting W98 as of 5.24. 5.35 works
somewhat but loses some features. AFIK the later versions
had to be prevented from installing in W98 to prevent
screwing up systems altogether, and I would not want to
put a non working install just to get a dll.

So I guess I will have install 5.5 on an XP with 2.80
installed, which I need to keep for testing purposes,
and then do a system restore to get the 2.80 back.

Then I need to copy the milk dll, several milk ini's,
and the milkdrop mlk folder, to the proper W98 Winamp
5.24 plugins folder. Should that work ?

It's a lot of work simply because there is no Milkdrop 2.0d
installer.
