Well, that topic pretty much explains it but...
When I use winamp wit the Sound Blaster Live! drivers for Win2k, whenever I go into IE5.0 and I go to a differen't webpage, Winamp skips like ALOT, I have to stop the song and play it again. I dunno really what this is, for this reason I've been usin Sonique lately, but I really prefer Winamp

The same thing happens to me. It's very frustrating too, I might add.
My configuration:
MSI K7Pro w/Athlon 800
Win2K
SBLive
Very depressing to have an Athlon and not be able to play a mp3. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif
I also have Win2K and a SBLive! but I do not experience this behavior. I am using the WaveOut plugin (rather than the direct sound) and everything else is pretty much standard.

Hmm, interesting. I have a W2K, C500 and Live!-setup with skipping sound as well. This is probably related to LiveWare for Windows 2000. Media Player 6.4 for Windows plays back any media file flawlessly where Winamp skips through the sound as soon as I have made a click in my browser. How do you configure Winamp to use the Waveout instead of Directsound?

Ah, found out. Just highlight the plug-in you prefer to use in the Output config screen and click "close". This solved the problem which definitely is related to a conflict between the DirectSound-plugin for Winamp 2.62 and the Live!-drivers for W2K.
