i managed to get winamp5 lite to use modern skins by moving a file from another winamp installation. while using a modern skin the playlist wont show up, can someone tell me how to make the playlist show with modern skins?

Lite doesn't support modern skins. it is one of the reasons why it is Lite.

Download and install the FULL version of Winamp:
http://www.winamp.com/player

Run the installer, and unselect the parts you don't want.

so its not possible for the playlist to showup by doing something like i did for the main window?

or can you list all the options i have to put on the full version so its exactly like the lite setup with modern skin support because full has too many options(im into memory conservation)

Download the Full version, select Lite as the install type (on the Choose Components (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=199851#list) page), then customize it by selecting "Modern skin support" (under "User Interface Extensions").

This will add "Plugins\gen_ff.dll", the "Plugins\Freeform" dir, and a couple of extra *.w5s files into the Winamp\System folder.

I'm not sure what you meant by "Playlist", because the Playlist Editor is built into winamp.exe and therefore is a feature of both Lite and Full. Did you mean the Media Library?

i meant playlist editor, when i added the gen_ff.dll file to a winamp lite folder ,the playlist editor would not pop up if i used a modern skin

You can't just add gen_ff.dll to get Modern Skins working.
