MP3s skip

every so often when i open an application while i have winamp open my mp3s skip. i know i am not the only one to have this problem, so surely someone out there has had this problem too and knows how i can fix it. also, it's probably not that i don't have enough RAM, cause I have plenty of that, and it happens even when I barely have anything running. another thing, it kinda seems like it happens more when I am trying to load a web page or something liek that (internet/network related stuff).

Also if you have antivirus software running that will cause the behavior you mentioned. you might want to try disabling it and then see if the problem still exist.

Thank you very much. I shall try the antivirus thing (have tried adjusting buffer before and it did not work).
