Can Winamp be used to convert wav files to mps files? My audiograbber program is acting up.

As far as I know Winamp Does not compress MP3, you might try searching the net, there thousands of compressors out there.
Actually Winamp can do that conversion with the help of a plugin and if you have a codec.
This page will walk you through it: http://players.shoutclub.net/winamp/wavtomp3.php3
For the codec somone mentioned one way back on this forum check the last message on this thread: http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000029.html

Just wanted to say thanks to Tom for providing the link to a procedure for using Winamp to convert wav files to MP3. I'm very curious just how this was discovered. Shouldn't such a thing be given residence in the Winamp FAQ so we users could have found it easily? I wouldn't go to Winamp for help with ShoutCast, or should I? Anyway, thanks! I've been looking for just this for more hours than I feel I should have had to look. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
