Skips tracks

This is different from the other person who had a skipping problem I believe. When I double click a song, sometimes it just skips down 3 or 4 songs and plays that one. I then try clicking the song below the one I just clicked and it goes to the same song down a few tracks. Any idea?

u dont have shuffle play enabled perchance? or perhaps its cos the filenames are a bit long, if they are above the width of the default playlist window width, i suggest renaming them. because winamp doesnt like those long buggers...

Even worse is my problem, that the Winamp Playlist lops off (usually but not always) the last several songs of a CD. This didn't happen with earlier versions of Winamp, and it is a big nuisance to have to change the playlist of most new CDs. Additionally the CDDB used to cut in automatically and no longer does.

I believe I have the exact same problem. All the other songs above a certain song, when doubleclicked, skip down to that song. And shuffle is not on. Did you solve this problem?

the songs that winamp is skipping don't exist anymore. use the playlist [rem] [rem misc] "remove all dead files" to get rid of the excess names.
