View Full Version : I can play CD's but not MP3's :confused:

I've no trouble playing CD's through Winamp, however when I go to play an MP3 that has been successfully played on another PC it comes up with - "MMSYSTEM004 The specified device is already in use. Wait until it is free, and then try again."

I have also had this problem in the past week. So far, I have read that you should press ctrl + P , change the preferences under Plug-in's and then Out-put to "DirectSound". This should fix the problem. Also, if you have another error which says "could not create DirectSound object" then there is something wrong with your drivers. Good Luck!
