Got any ideas on how to improve Online Services (the tools, the API, the gallery, etc.)?

One thing would be to ensure the documentation actually works

I have tried amending but the spam filter prevents you saving because of the word "Online" - well durh that word is going to be in an article on "Winamp Online Service API" isn't it ;)

The first two things I tried failed because the documentation is wrong

extern. should read external.
bookmark. should read bookmarks.

(Also is there any way for the test platforms permissions to be reset?)

Thanks AcerKev, I've made the changes to the documentation.

After putting pressure on a very reliable source, I have been told that if you right click on 'Web Dev Test Platform' in the media library and then "Service->Reset Permissions" will give you what you want. However, you'll need an ml_webdev from a recent beta or perhaps the one from our latest release tomorrow, 7/2/09.

Let me see if I can get someone from the "prevent spam on the wiki" cabal to address the spam filter issue.

First off: creating an online services was very easy, love it.

but cant there be a direct link on winamp.com, to all the online services currently available ?
like the way plugins are listed, all the online services should be listed as well with a screenshot/reviews etc.

at the moment the user needs winamp installed to browse the online services. not with plugins. unfair.

(im having trouble promoting my online service. maybe this will help. or maybe my online service just sucks:)

We have a huge wireless network here in Cape Town, but not everyone is connected to the internet.

At the moment the winamp online services has to be on the internet.

Is there a way to connect to an online service hosted on a Lan? Can this feature be added?

(i dont want to install 'web dev platform' on every computer :)

I would like to have the online service java script api in main browser, too. Winamp Online Service seems to be dead.
