Is your station setup on your pc behind your router ?
If thats the case you may not be able to tune in from your
pc as your router may be configured to not let you access your public ip address.
You should check with a friend to see if the can connect using the app/widget.
Although the above would not explain why xmms is able to
tunein and not the widget.
Sorry if my advice today leads nowhere its been a very busy 2 weeks ;).

maybe you could post a link to your stream or the name of the station that shows up on the widget so we can help further.
ensure the station is online for at least the next 48 hours,to allow someone to check it. ;)

Its always worth remembering that Upload / Bitrate = Max Users
you can get your upstream here http://www.speedtest.net
if you need to look into stream hosting you can find a list of hosts here
http://www.radiotoolbox.com/hosts or http://www.broadcastingworld.net/reviews/hosts/

And as i stated above(router stuff) you may not be able to access your stream/station from your pc but the public can
The point that Nick makes is a big one ! Your connection may not be able to handle shoutcast streaming and you should look into paying for shoutcast server hosting from a streaming host.
