i just put in a second pci video card (an s3 virge) to have dual monitors. the first video card is an avance logic 2302 and i am running win98 second edition. i can no longer use winamp, i can control it with the keyboard but as soon as i move the mouse curser over the main window, playlist or eq the computer freezes and stops doimg anything. i havent had any other problems with other software, the only other problem is that i cannot drag and drop more than one file at a time in explorer.
i don't know if this is even something that can be fixed, but it would be great if someone could help me out...thanks

I get problems on a dual monitor setup too - running win2k pro - I can drag the main window onto the second monitor, but when I open the eq or playlist winamp jumps back onto the first monitor. Can you fix it mister?
Apart from that it's all working.

hmm... first i was going to blame it on 98se ('cause that os sucks to high heaven, but we won't get in to that now...) you might try submitting this as a bug here (http://www.winamp.com/getwinamp/feedback_fereal.jhtml) i've heard of other programs having this same problem, and it's usually easy to fix.

I think i might have a fix for you on the dual monitor. In the Options section of the preferences, there is an option called "Multi-Monitor and Litestep yada yada yada..." check that, maybe that will fix your problem

somebody else had this problem. search "2 monitors" and you'll probably get the string. Hope it helps.

well... that has nothing to do with the topic of this thread, but i'll answer anyhow...
go to preferences -- plug-ins -- output. change the selected plugin to nullsoft diskwriter. play the files you want to convert. go back and change the plugin to waveout. all done.

I use dual monitors and i have no problem w/winamp. I can move in between the two freely. I use reg. win98 w/2 vid cards. I don't have the "Multi-monitor and litestep..." thin enbabled. So i don't think it's that. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/wink.gif
I have dual monitors and I have enabled multi-monitor support in preferences. This allows me to place the player anywhere. However, the windowshade mode now opens downward making it invisible when I park the player on the bottom edge of the monitor. The windows API gives the extent of all the monitors. The program most know where it is, right? How do I correct this problem?
