Not free, are you going to keep the cost down on this (under $10)? Will it definitely play aac+v2 streams in full fidelity and stereo? What about rtsp streams in AAC or AAC+v2? And yes I do need a new phone, my current phone is the first version of digital and still has analog too (not that analog works anywhere right now).

There is a free and paid version. Paid has more features but both free and paid allows you to search and stream SHOUTcast content :). About AACPlus we are on that... RSTP no support as of now...

Too bad on the aac+.

Yeah aac+ is not easily implementable on Android so it takes more effort to get it working properly... :(

I'm surprised that the phone hardware doesn't support it, guess they took the Apple route and didn't buy the sound decoder chip that everyone else uses. Guess I won't get an Android based phone then. Maybe I'll give Google a yell and see what their excuse was.

Hi, I have Motorola touch screen, os 2.2. I do not have winamp or any other shoutcast stream app installed on my phone.

When I open any shoutcast stream URL of listen.pls (http://core.crystalone.net:9000/listen.pls), it open my default media player but then nothing happens, no stream and no sound.

What is wrong? Do I need winamp or other shoutcast stream app before get this work? If so, once i install, and open the link in browser, it will automatically go for the new player or app?

I need to get this done ASAP so please help if anyone has any idea..

Thanks.

If you install the app above you can click on you playlist link and open it in that app. There is another app called Stream Furious which also supports that.

How can I incorporate this into my own app design? So I can have my own app designed to launch my station only...

Is that possible?

Thanks
