Internet Radio tuner with Icecast Server

Hi,
I want to develop an internet radio tuner integrated with Icecast.But i dont have idea what will happen if i tune-in to an internet station.Will the icecast server connect the tuner with the radio station?If so how ?Is sending the radio station name to Ice cast server enough to get it connected with the tuner application.Anyone pls shed some light..

You are asking the wrong people. Icecast is unaffiliated with SHOUTcast/Winamp. Please ask the folks as Icecast (http://www.icecast.org/).
