I was wondering if there is a limit on the total number of presets you can have. I have been downloading presets and adding them to my preset directory and the total number of pages of presets doesn't change but I'm fairly sure that I see new presets being played indicating that there is a limit on the total number of presets and it is loading them alphabetically and stopping once it reaches the limit. if this is true than i would like to request that milkdrop support a larger number of total presets.

You should split them in sub-folders with, say, 500 presets each. The only limit is your hard-drive space. ;)

okay, i moved milk files into sub-directories with 500 in each but when i start milkdrop it doesn't load any of them, it wants me to go into a sub directory. how do i load all of the sub directories so that i can have all the presets loaded? i just love milkdrop and use it whenever i listen to music so i enjoy having as many presets as possible. thanks.
