The iPhone app is good, I use it all the time, but there's one thing missing:
After the app starts playing and the device is "idle", the screen turns itself off after the time-out period. There's no way with this app to force the screen to stay on.
Contrast this behavior with, let's say, the Slacker Radio app. That one has a setting to keep the iPhone screen on no matter what (it's called "Prevent Sleep" and the user can turn it on or off). That's very useful when the iPhone is docked, so I don't care about the battery, and I want to be able to take a quick look at the screen and see the name of the song currently being played and the name of the artist(s).
With Slacker Radio that's very easy to do. With Shoutcast, it's impossible, because the app does not force the screen to stay on.
Please add a setting to the app to allow the users to choose whether the app should force the screen to stay on, or whether to allow the screen to go to sleep. Even better, "force screen on" could be enabled only when the iPhone is docked (and let the screen go to sleep when on battery power).
I couldn't figure out a way to send this request to the developers, so I posted it on this forum.
Thanks!
