View Full Version : How to make a post

When I go to: http://forums.winamp.com/ I get a page where I have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to log on. Then I have to go to 5 more pages (and scroll down a few) before I can make a post. This is extremely hard, unfriendly, not at all intuitive, etc. Am I missing something? Can somebody please tell me how to do it.

Thanks,

royeo

P.S. I expect to go to a page and SEE a place to "Login". Then maybe one or two clicks to get to a page to make a post.

P.S. When I PREVIEWED this post it showed the URL but when I "Submit"ted it, it didn't (it said something about URL submitted; the URL was for this site). A preview is supposed to show you what your writing will look like (WYSIWYG). But not here. This site is not good (euphemism). It should say "Kind of Preview Post".

the url submitted by user thing was meant to be a temporary spam protection feature which has remained in use for junior/new members for longer than was intended (hopefully this will be resolved soon).

as for logging on i can't really comment as i've been hitting the end key when i come here for 7 years so it's just habit but i can see why it may be confusing but then with the winsmp.com login at the top (separate of the forums login) it'd be more confusing having both at the top i'd have thought.

maybe the changes for the url submitted by user thing may make it easier to register though the login box is unlikely to be moved (maybe it's a vbulletin design quirk).
