Hi,

is it possible to force winamp to play a mp3 file whilst downloading (streaming) and not only after it IS download with just one click?
I know, I can tell winamp to play location but for example the windows media player can play those files just by clicking on the hyperlink even it isn't allready downloaded?

Any comments?

Yeah, just open the temporary file in winamp, beware though, dont do any changing to the ID3 as it will probably screw the download.

note to all: downloading is not streaming. they are two separate operations.

to stream music to people, you need to use shoutcast (http://www.shoutcast.com/).

Well, the easiest way I found of doing pseudo-streaming, is to copy the file's location (http://server/path/file.mp3) and open it in WinAmp.

I've made a website that can dynamically produce multi-file m3us, and then pseudo-stream from them. m3us are pretty cool.
