There used to be able to find a close-to-total post count before the forum upgrade. Usually when searching for all posts by user, you could come up with a total search result including the bin which would be close (some additional posts may have been removed or placed in a non-indexed subforum, etc.)

Due to my counting, I appeared on the top 10 there, and of course kofplayer was #1. Now I don't think that a regular member can search for bin posts anymore. I miss that, because there have been some interesting bin threads that I'd like to search for every once in a while. Some were actually serious and intellectual discussions. Some weren't but definitely were worthy of bin searching. I guess Google still works, but I still would like to know a total Bin+nonbin count, just for curiosity's sake.

It has happened before. Sarge and jedi1 have post counts that were artificially assigned. There may be others, but those are the ones I remember. User mikm once had his forum king postcount reset to zero and he started all over, just for fun. Post count really doesn't give any worthwhile information about someone anyway. Personally I prefer mine to be accurate though.

technically i have at least an additional 1,100 posts to my count, but thats only cus that one account got banned :P
