I recently switched to Winamp from iTunes after it become unusably slow and prone to freezing up. I'm quite satisfied overall; Winamp is much faster, it looks cool (I use the classic skin), it makes it easy to browse my library, and global hotkeys basically rock my world.

But there is one feature of iTunes I'm really missing. iTunes let you create auto playlists that took into account other playlists a song was in. That let me create all sorts of advanced playlists that performed boolean operations on other playlists, for instance, and made it much easier to organize my sizeable library. As far as I can tell, Winamp can't do this, and I can't completely switch over to it while it lacks this functionality. Is there a plugin that adds this functionality?

if I understand what you are looking for... you don't need a separate plugin... you are looking for what is called Smart Views within winamp. Click on the button that says LIBRARY at the bottom of the media library and choose New Smart View. There you can use some of the presets that they already have set up for you or you can go into advanced mode and write your own boolean query.

Yes, I'm aware of smart views. They don't allow you to check playlists that songs are in to use as criteria. It's simply not one of the available options. I'm looking for a plugin that adds this functionality.

i don't believe there is any plug-in which does what you're looking for (i've never come across anything like it) as there's no internal linking of what's in the playlists to how they relate to media library items as Winamp treats them as separate entities.
