I am left handed This is my new thread, and I will ask about modern skins questions here, just asking if its good for submission. I have included all the needed files in attachments. I was taking brake from Winamp skinning. I have fixed the width and height

<elementalias id="wasabi.list.column.empty" target="wasabi.window.background"/>
That's the name of the color :)
Have to look hard to see that its a modern skin ;)
Maybe add some semi transparent thumbs and buttons.

The skin looks like a classic skin, even the position and size of the eq, control buttons, ticker, timer....et al..
Modern skins allow you to redesign the whole interface; it involves more than just changing a few XML parameters....get creative :).

I understand now thanks. That is just to hard for me. I will stick with classic skins, I guess then. Is there an easier way of changing the interface?

Don't give up!
I haven't looked at your code, but you obviously know how to do it, just the fact that your skin works shows enough knowledge.
Your background image can be ANY size or shape, as long as you define this in your XML in the same tag that you define the image (x="0" y="0" w="300" h="200"). These are just arbitrary numbers.
Once you get your background to show, you have an open canvas. Put your buttons and the rest anywhere you want.
An important note:
When designing your skin, if you load your skin with improper coordinates, you will get distorted display, and this info is stored in Winamp's config file (studio.conf) so even if you change these coordinates to the correct values, it will still show messed up. You need to delete studio.conf each time till you get it right. I've only noticed this happening when the layout parameters are wrong, nothing else in the skin.

how can I re size the buttons?

You won't resize them, you need to make your own buttons.
I think I need to look at your code more closely........

OK I see what's going on...
Here's a few things I'd do:
Separate your XML elements to their own file (elements.xml);
You can leave all your buttons in one file (buttons.png) but then you need to change all the XML parameters to match your new graphics, and this can be hard for beginners (the entry <bitmap id="m_next" file="pic/buttons.png" x="96" y="0" w="23" h="20"/> will have to match all your new button coordinates)...easier to just make one file for each button and leave out the x="96" y="0" w="23" h="20" part in your XML entry.
Be sure to read the tutorials on the Winamp site to learn Winamp XML coding...look for the XML reference tables for a list of functions.
