Winamp seems to be reading everything on the phone, not just what the media scanner sees. That includes The UI audio files in "/system/media/audio" such as shutter sounds.
My suggestion is to use the media scanner database for everything, since it knows where applications tell it not to look.
There is also a small issue where winamp sees the files in /sdcard/android/ and classifies them as files to be deleted. NFS shift and AsphaltHD both store songs there. Winamp also ignores ".nomedia" files when scanning.
