Hello,

First, i wanna say thanks for the winamp android app, i love it. The WiFi sync is amazing (great speed if the phone is awake) and very usefull. Now i have tried it, i can't use USB cable anymore... But !

Files management (on the android device) use track artist and not album artist !

For example, for this release :
http://www.discogs.com/release/1997216

i should have :
"Camo & Krooked" / "Oh My Dear! / Vampires" / "Oh My Dear!"
"Camo & Krooked" / "Oh My Dear! / Vampires" / "Vampires "

instead i have the same release two times -for each artist- with only one file inside :

->Artist view
"Disaszt & Infame" / "Oh My Dear! / Vampires" / "Oh My Dear!"
"Camo & Krooked" / "Oh My Dear! / Vampires" / "Vampires "

->Album view
"Oh My Dear! / Vampires" by "Disaszt & Infame" / "Oh My Dear!"
"Oh My Dear! / Vampires" by "Camo & Krooked" / "Vampires "

It makes my android library really too messy !!

Like Winamp desktop (well) support Album Artist tag, why that kind of informations are lost during syncing ?

I hope it will be fixed soon :)

Thanks again for this great player !

Just confirming here I have a similar issue.

It's a particular PITA as most of the albums I listen to are mixes, which makes things look very messy indeed. Love the app though, although wireless connections are eluding me!

This only occurs on the albums where the tune's specific artist is different from the album's artist; it does seem that the app is just referencing the artist name, not the album artist. Hopefully this is a relatively simple fix!!!

Cheers,

Adam.

just out of curiousity...

are you guys sure you have AA tags? in regular winamp prefs, you can tell it to use artist tags to fill in AA db fields. winamp also does metadata guessing.

just something to check.
