I have a rooted G1 running CM6.0.0DS.

Winamp runs perfectly, however whenever I press home or back to display the homescreen, winamp exits.

How can I return to the home screen without winamp exiting?

Wow, 5 weeks, 129 views and not one person has the same issue as me? No-one? Really?

Surely you must be able to go back to the home screen leaving Winamp running???

The G1 has the least RAM out of any Android device in existence. It's probably killing the process to free RAM. Since you're rooted, you can try downloading AutoKiller (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.rs.autokiller) to try to tweak and relax Android's built-in free memory settings. That's all I got...

BTW: These forums are not very popular among Android users. I would even try posting your question in xda-developer's G1 forum or Android Central general forum or something similar.
