Is there any plug in that allow you to edit "play-count" in winamp?
I always like to listen to every song equally so I set them to play via play count, but I don't want to listen to XX amount of time of the new song that just added into play list. If possible, I would like to edit play count on that new song to make it equal amount of time with all other songs.

Thank you for any suggestion.

A forum search would have found you this:

though they may or may not work anymore..

hmm, u want to get the count up in the DB, not necessarily the tag.

in the winamp options, u can change how long it has to play until its "counted." and then just click it a bunch of times to get its count up. tedious, but doable.

i would prefer that winamp read/write playcounts in a files tags, using either POPM or PCNT frames.

find threads in the wishlist forum for that and add your vote.

Thank for the reply, everybody. However, I found that..

@Osmosis : the plug in is no longer work with new version it seem
@MrSinatra : I have thousands song that have been all at the count of 20-30 in the library. and around near 100 OSTs at 0 counts. I don't want to hear only the new 100 OSTs loop for 20-30 times before it equal to old one. The best should would be just edit it right away, so all the songs will be played in equal rate.

Anymore possible method?

besides what i suggested, i think i saw DrO say elsewhere there's a way to export the DB, text edit it, and then reimport it, but i don't know any details.

I think the ActiveWinamp script in that thread might still work as well.

Have you considered resetting them all to zero? That way they all start again with the same average weight?

That idea is okay, but I hope the method is not reset all in the library ?

How to reset all of them to zero without losing all the rating I rate with all songs? I took me two weeks to rate all.

ratings can now be saved in the tag as persistent data, like title or artist info is. see my sig.

sig is changed since Feb 4.

just search "ratings" in the forums, and/or look in prefs at the ML>Library Options tab.
