View Full Version : Gapless plugin not totally gapless!
I've installed the Dudsoft gapless output v 1.4 plugin and although it's an improvment, I still notice a tiny gap in bettween my mp3 songs, I 'v tried numerous configation in the Nullsoft WaveOut Pugin as suggested in the readme file without any luck. Any one knows how to cure this so I can have A totally gaples playback?
Thanks, A.J.

I personnaly use, now, "SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading" plug-in, which well configured remove all possible gap... and even, if you wish, can mix tracks.
Woow! THIS IS what I was looking for, great control over Xfading and gaps etc. I threw away all the other lame gapless crapolas. Now if only I could program Winamp to launch this plugin whenever I launch
a playlist that contains MP3's recorded from non stop CD's and switch to a different setting or plugin, say when I launch a playlist from regular album MP3's. Now this would really be exciting! Let me know if such a thing is possible. I encode my MP3's from full albums CD's only (256kbps)in case your wondering why I would want such a feature).
Thanks again for this great find.

A.J. you've just hit on a feature that I've been wanting for some time now. That is I want Winamp to be able to load certain settings (audio and visual plugins to use, shuffle/repeat, etc.) on playing of a certain mp3 file or playlist. For example if I load a playlist that contains all tracks ripped from a mixed CD I'd want the shuffle button off (it naffs the mixes), and have the gapless audio plugin selected.
Would it not be possible to store this info. in the playlist file itself guys?
Hope someone out there can help
Matt
