Visualisation with SB-Live and CD playing

G'day,

I've a wierd problem. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/redface.gif

The Built in visualisation (e.g. oscilliscope option) only seems to work for wav and mp3 (etc) playback but not CD. CD playback just shows a flatline, which kind of sucks as no visual plugins work correctly. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif

Anyone know why?

Note: The cd playback for the creative lava player works fine (the stupid thing dances).

Also I know everything like SB-live drivers are the latest and installed correctly.

I have the same problem as described by
Belial. And the link posted by Olivier
does not seem to address the issue.
Anyone knows the fix for this?

well, yeah the link does address the problem though not explicitly, but the focus of the post was a bug with winamp. the CDreader plugin allows winamp to process audio CD data (using DAE, the same method used to rip CDs) thus enabling visualization on CDs.
