Insert advertising every 5 minutes [server insertion]

I have hundreds of radio shoutcast on my linux server. And I want to insert an advertisement in all streams every 5 minutes.

Does anyone know how? Or know of someone who has done something similar?

What do you think why people listen to webradios?

They want to listen to music not to advertisments and not even every 5 minutes. If you realy would advertise every 5 minutes and maybe cut off the current song your listeners will look for another station and if the listeners would stay away from your stations, what do you think the stationowners would do?

You could use the serverintrofile (if running a shoutcast 2 server) This file will be played, befor the stream starts when a listener tune in

5 minutes was an example, but the service is free and I need to monetize it.

IntroFile not solve my problem, I need to insertions scheduled every "5 minutes".

If sc_trans is running as autodj, you could add a timeperiodic event, but

1. that wont run exactly every x minutes cause sc_trans would play the current song to the ende befor switching to the event
2. it only works as long as the autodj is running, as soon as a dj connects for a lifestream every event will be stopped.
3. you need to set a duration for the timeperiodic event. Else the event will be played many times after a liveshow
