Y'know, when Radioactive Man does this, I figured it was probably his fault. But now that gandalf has done it, I guess I have to admit it must be a UBB problem.

from what it sounds like backstage, the problem has to do with internet explorer and network timeouts.

the original thread had somthing to do with the difference bewteen mp3-vqf-wma

I believe... if im not mistaken, the old vb would for some reason randomly destroy threads and their subject would become the current time for some bizarre reason. In particular, it seemed to happen to giant, long threads.

It was with UBB (before they switched to vb) that threads could be nuked. RM had the gift of nuking (if I remember correctly it was due to getting disconnected when posting) basically all replies including the nukers would no longer show, the nukers name showed up in the # of replies column, and the subject became the time.

Hmm...Just as well that doesnt happen now...imagine what would happen to the game threads...:p
