error connecting to cddb.cddb.com:8880

I am using a proxy server. my proxy doesn't match any of the examples I saw. I entered firewall.mycompanyname.com:8080 in the HTTP proxy field. Is this right? If so, what is up with the following error:
error connecting to cddb.cddb.com:8880
I tried exempting addresses beginning with cddb from the proxy, but no luck.
