I love to use my favorite plugins, YMAMP, SIDamp, and SPCamp (for Genesis GYM, C64 SID, and SNES SPC files, respectively) and I love to load a whole directory structure of music at once... but oddly, I can no longer do that, as their extensions aren't being recognized by Winamp when I do an Add Directory... and they don't show up in the Extensions list in the Preferences! I tried adding them in the INI file, an exercise in futility at best, and telling Windows to associate them doesn't seem to work. How can I get Winamp to know it can play them?

hiya there! you could write a batch file or some macro
that will do this:
The simplest, easiest, least powerful way of controlling Winamp is to execute winamp.exe yourself. By simply calling winamp.exe with various command line options, you do a number of things. For example:
C:\path\to\winamp\winamp.exe /ADD C:\mp3\whatever.mp3
step 1. create a macro that will rediect the file handle
to winamp using a code like above.. only instead of mp3.. other extension...
step 2. you associate files with new ext with this
macro
step 3. double click on them!
I am not sure how to write the macro...
but i know that it can be done! :)
Do tell me if it works! :)
Good luck!
