Hey all...
Just wanted to ask you to keep my grandmother in your prayers...she was admited to the hospital early this morning because she was having trouble breathing..a few days ago she was complaining of vomitting, chest pains, and jaw pains (which are a common sign of a heart problem in women)....I also wanted to apoligize because this is the main reason i haven't posted that much in a few days..thanx all

Hey, not pleasant news. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/frown.gif

I think most of us have been here at one point or another, so can relate with what is happening. Hopefully all will be well and it will just be a false alarm.

Rest assured though that from my brief foray into this group I have seen plenty of people here to whom you are a special person and deserving of their comfort and support. I don't think you will be alone on this one.

*Hugs*

Mule.

SLK, my thoughts and prayers are with your Grandmother and you. I used to do health care for the terminally ill, and can truly understand what a frustrating and confusing time this must be for you right now. Please always keep in mind how much everyone here cares about you. And if you ever need to talk....we'll be here for you.

just wanted you all to know that youse are a wonderful group of people...actually alot more caring and considerate than some of my friends...thank you all for understanding and you know how to get in touch with me....

Damn. that really sucks. that really really sucks. I am really sorry for you. But unlike most of the people here, I really havn't had that happen to a close family member... So I don't really know how you feel, but I feel for you anyway... you understand. you're good at that. We'll think of her for you...

Love from us all,

Yes, from my brief time here I can truly say that I hope things go well for you and your grandmother.
I hope things go well tomorrow.

Words could not express... All I can say is that I dearly hope your grandmother gets well, and I'm terribly sorry you and your family have to go through this. I lost my grandfather when I was very young and my grandmother has one foot in the grave. It's only a matter of time for her. I hope things turn out well. Mule is definitely right, you won't be alone on this one.

*Love & more hugs*

Evan

I always said there was only one funeral I'd ever go to, mine because I had to be there(some damn mandatory attendence rule they have).
However, today I was at a funeral for my 24 year old bud whom I've known since he was born(yes, I AM that old).
The unfortunate part of it is that he was shot and killed by his father who I have shown more respect for than my own father and has helped me through so many turbulent times. I really do owe this man my life!
It was an act of self defense and actually kept his son from taking his own life, and perhaps the lives of other loved ones.
He was on a mindless rampage that day sadly.
He left behind a little girl, about 3 years old, who brought me to tears when she placed on his casket a flower and a card. I, and I'm sure the many hundreds in attendence will miss him dearly.
I've never seen a sadder day, and hope that when I pass people will be more upbeat, perhaps even enjoying a moshpit for me to watch and smile http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif
Dear thoughts Travis, we'll miss you!!!

I'm new to the forum, but might I suggest that we all take our hats off (sort of speak) and pray for all the individuals here that have lost or has someone in the hospital that is very close to you.

My hat is off to all.

I personal have been blessed...so far...and have not had to deal with anything such as this, but I'm sure my day is coming.

Big group hug with SLK & Chev.

Just wanted to let you all know that so far all of the tests have come back negative..the doctors did find out, though, that she ahs an enlarged heart....what that means is since it is larger, it beats slwoer than say, our average heart...in order to try to alleviate this, they're giving her a medication that will bring down her bp and increase her hr....
thank you all so very very much for your kind thoughts and words.....and chev, I'm here for ya if you ever need me....
Thank you all... http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif
oh, and I told her that some of my friends wished her the best of luck (meaning you guys) and she says thank you also

My G/T teacher had a big heart too (In all senses of the word). Unfortunately she had to quit b/c of her condition (the physical, duh). It's really a relief that your grandmother's doing better. I think it lifts a great weight off of all our chests.
