why are all ads on the web showing a cursor or webpage have them as a mac? i mean this:

Any AOL ad you see shows a Black arrow with a white outline. Macintosh. and ones showing the toolbars of any window... its from a mac. i dunno, im just in an extremely crappy girl related mood.

There is the option in Windows - from 98SE up I believe - to use black cursors instead of white ones. The scrollbars, well that's another story.

Not to forget all those "tech" films where we are treated to a nice "hollywood" version of what a computer is and how email/the net really works... Think, Hackers, You've Got Mail, MI2, in fact just about any god-damn film that has a computer in it... Wouldn't it be nice to watch them rushing to escape from a serial killer deperately trying to send a help message and have to wait 30 secs for Windows to boot, followed by another 10 secs for Outlook to open, then another 30 secs for the Dial-Up etc etc...

Of course I now have win2K, Hibernate so I am laughing http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif That's how all comps should be... real "Instant On"...and about bloody time..sheesh.. but only if you have just the write type of drivers... hello 1% of users out there! (Coolest part about it....switching your comp on and immediately having the song you were listening too, carry on from where it left off!)

btw. You're never going to get that sig to line up. It's not a fixed-width font, and everyone uses a different text size (Larger, Medium etc), browser (IE/Netscrap/Opera/Speedy Gonzales), etc...
