To start off, I'd just like to reiterate... everything sucks.
I have Win98se. It sucks. I had Win95c. I want it back. Anyone want to trade? Oh well...
To the real bitch - the cost of tertiary education. My course only costs me AUD$655.00 per year, not including text books. For the same course a friend of mine from Indoneasia has to pay $8000 per year! It would cost me less to do four years at uni, and I'd still have change. If education is a right, why the hell do international students(who usually take up residency here anyway) have to pay so much? It just really pisses me off. She (my friend) is lucky that her father had enough for one year but after that...

But we aren't at a university proper, it would be a lot more at somewhere like Monash. That $40 000 is still a lot though.

Local students in the great white north pay between $8000 to $15 000 all inclusive, per year. There is only one university, McGill (one of the best) which only charges $1000 (but only for quebec students)

Yeah, well, every single new Windows release seems to just be getting worse (although I haven't tried 2k yet). I just reformatted. Win98se wouldn't let me do JACK SHIT without bitching at me. (BSOD - Bitching Screen Of Death). Anyway, all's peachy now for about a month - then the cycle begins again...

I didn't realise the cost was so much in other parts of the world... my bad. The original point I tried (and failed) to make was that the difference between her fees and my fees are ridiculous. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Win95 used to crash a fair bit, but the shit 98 is giving me makes me want to change back. I thought I had a virus, it was just 98 fucking around. Things like corrupting the close buttons and BSODs when I try and shut down. I tried BeOS but it wouldn't display the mouse cursor http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/smile.gif I spent ten minutes trying to close a window...

Is this sig OK, or just stupid?

Can. That works out to approximately $25 000 to $30 000 US. USF is University of San Francisco. I think. Maybe they call it U of California

Ha, that's nothing! My previous college charges almost $37,000 (U.S. currency) per year ($45,000 if you count the summer semester). I think the cost is the same regardless of where you're from.
Fortunately, my current college is only about $24,000 per year, though.

You and me both - I would switch back, but frankly I can't - I have USB devices. I tried using win95's worthless USB support, but to no avail - I can't live w/o a mouse, although I do get around quite well w/ just a KB. *Sigh* - Still waiting for that bootleg copy of win2k, I may just have to settle for a bootleg of ME instead. Hopefully it's more stable than THIS shit (Note to FBI: I will never use a bootleg copy of windows or any other software. This is a lie.)
