Well, the wonderfull people at Nullsoft have probably already gotten a suggestion like this before, but I just have to say that one thing that should be added in the next version of Winamp is the ability to write a longer length ID3 tag. I have constantly run accross the problem of writing a tag and then running out of space. Most of my songs have long titles and I have to cut them short in order to make them fit for Winamp. I believe it isn't an impossible idea. Other Players allow long tags. MusicMatch is one example. I can write a title as long as I want without fearing the dreaded end of the bar that Winamp has. So, if one of the developers reads this, I hope you take it into consideration. Thanks!

ID3v2 - which will be in WinAmp3 and probably WinAmp2.666 - allows more characters per line than ID3.

You ask, they provide. http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Unless you want what I want, which is money.

It'll definitely be in Winamp 2.666, not probably. It's already in the alpha in_mp3.dll that you can find links to in the General Discussions forum.

By the way, this (accidentally cross-posted) thread can be continued here: http://forums.winamp.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001353.html
