Well, this is almost more of a notification than a true bitch but hopefully someone will pass it on or contact me with a solution to the problem. I've checked the various FAQs and the solution to the problem seems to be the CD-Reader plug in but, sadly, while it will work the output is SO choppy and slow through the entire song that it makes things far worse.
Be nice if someone could get this fixed in the new version. I've a moderately fast P200 with around 90 meg of RAM but an older soundcard - a 16 bit SoundBlaster original. As the card performs superbly with other programs and provides excellent sound, there's no real reason to replace it.
Hopefully the future will hold a solution as the problem is QUITE annoying.
