Faster playlist loading? yeah right

So what if it displays the filename first. It takes it about 1 second for every song to read the ID3 tag and track length now. This means that its INCREDIBLY SLOW.

Give us back the old way.

this has by far the slowest playlist loading times of any version of winamp in a *long* time... trying to read off of an ata66 drive, on 2.666 it loaded a full screen page length in a sec or two, now it takes a second for three of four songs...

Change "Read title on" in Winamp Preferences|Options to Load instead of Display. The Display mode *is* faster, but only for really big playlists.

actually the display mode is still slower for me than it was in 2.666- ... and changing it to load only makes winamp completely useless for ~15 seconds while it loads 1300+ mp3's... now that may be incredibly fast for loading 1300 mp3's... but i liked the way it loadded and the speed it was when i had it on display mode on 2.666-. personal preference... maybe i should stop bitching and go back to 2.666 ..
