Sound quality borked??

i recently donwloaded 2.71, and i was suprised to hear a decrease in sound quality!

i replaced the 2.71 in_mp3.dll with the 2.25 in_mp3.dll, which works just fine

i mean, with the 2.71, if i switch to half-quality, i don't hear the difference! That's how bad it is

so anyone know what in_mp3.dll sounds best??

I recommend using MAD :D
Get either the one here (http://www.mars.org/home/rob/proj/mpeg/mad-plugin/), or this (http://www.mars.org/home/rob/proj/mpeg/mad-plugin/in_mad-0.12.3b-pre3.zip) prerelease (if you want auto attenuation, which is pretty neat).

I had the same degredation in quality and MAD works great. I like the prerelease personally.

I like MAD's quality. It really makes a difference when you are DJing really loud :D
