well when i put the priority on " Time Critical " my winamp hangs.. it wont play nothing or let me close it, this been happening to me since version 2.66. i even crashed me PC and reinstall my soundcard, but when i use direct output plugin everything works fine? wassup with that? and what is the dif. between " normal " , " above normal " , " high " , and " time critical " ??

Well then take winamp off of time critical. If this is happeneing once you load it, delete the winamp.ini file.
The Normal, Above normal, ect. is the priority class for all programs running under windows. Normal is what most applications run at. Anything above this will give winamp more attention from the cpu than most programs have. I have mine set right below Time Critical.

I give winamp all the highest shit because i like my music and everything else can wait a few nanoseconds to get done.
