I don't know how to set up WinDAC to use LAME, but I would recommend Exact Audio Copy (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de) over WinDAC. I can help you set up LAME with Exact Audio Copy.

Use the LAME Encoder plug-in (http://members.aol.com/schmelnik/LameEncPlugIn.zip) for WinDAC.

I've used Windac, but CDEX is much better, free, and already includes the LAME encoder. Windac was a little bit faster than CDEX, until the last CDEX beta release. Just trash Windac, and get CDEX, you won't believe how easy, and how fast it is now.

The default is LAME, but it can use any encoder you choose, such as Blade, Yamaha, and so forth. It just recently added the abilty to encode WMA's
