I don't understand. What's the difference? Does that mean the non-java one doesn't support java? Or.. what? I'm confused...

Non java version doesn't come with the installation files for Java Runtime Environment 1.3
If you already have JRE 1.2 or 1.3, you can d/l the 2mb version. Otherwise, go for the 9mb version

How would I know if I have this "Java Runtime Environment" you speak of? :D

Opera 5.0 is better w/o the ads. Thats why I bought it when I was .... version something. Serial still works w/5. But I sure other people can find the keygen for it. O well, don't use it anywayz, but maybe they have it on core's keygen studio.

Um, try viewing a webpage w/java on it (not with internet explorer)? Um, you could also search for a folder w/the letters "jre" in it (w/out the quotes). Go to control panel and look for a plug-in to configure Java, as they usually place one there.

Or you can go to http://www.operasoft.com .

It's there official site, and they usually just refer to tucows or cnet to download anywayz.

Since when did they buy that domain? Whenever I went to opera.com, it returned "cannot find page" (or something like that). Maybe it was my isp's DNS server. Either way, they lead to the same site.

It's still kicking around. I got kind of stumped trying to figure out why the winamp controls are so buggy. I'll have sometime to work on it on friday, because christmas break starts. I've been researching VB code ever since I've started SG, so there's some new features i'd like to add. I could have added a real swank ftp browser, but, I only have the learning edition of VB 6. No major updates until the summer. But, I can assure you you won't be dissapointed.

As soon as I get a copy of VC++, I'll learn C, so I can use Mozilla.

They've had it for at least six months. I downloaded Opera 4.0 from opera.com, and the Created and Modified dates on the EXE file are both 17 July, 2000.

O well, I guess it was the DNS servers (Friggin @Home...).

JRE = Java Runtime Environment

Go to java.sun.com to find it. Under products and stuff I think. Cant be too specific. But you might as well have just downloaded the full 9meg Opera.

I think he meant he needed the JRE for another program, and didn't want to have to download Opera to get it.
