Yeah, I want to customize the startup/shutdown logos now that I have installed WinME, just like I used to do in Win98 with the logo.sys files...
I need to find out where WinME stores these files... Please reply if you know...

I don't think I can help you any further. I did a file search on my system, and I suggest you do it too.

You could try using these little freebies from Momsoft: Momlogo & StartLogo
http://www.momsoftco.com/free.htm
Sorry I don't have WinME to find the relevant startup & shutdown logo files.
It's strange how they're not the same as in Win9x
C:\LOGO.SYS
C:\WINDOWS\LOGOS.SYS & LOGOW.SYS
Typical of Micro$oft!
ps. I like the new sig, btw. Cool!

Your problem may be you can't see the files in question because of microsoft soo....
Go into: Start>Programs>windows explorer>View>folder options>View> Then tick show all files
If this doesn't work then get rid of ME and get 9x so I can tell you what to do :D

That wasn't problem... It seems that the Windows ME default logo is somewhere hidden.
I put a custom logo.sys in my C:\ directory and I rebooted to see that it worked... I guess if I delete this, then WinME will use the default rather than nothing...
I think that's right, anyway, Im still looking for where the ME Startup logo is located/hidden...
I want to make a Winamp Startup logo... Let's see...

Did it work, btw?
Have you found the default yet?
Knowing Micro$oft they've probably hidden it in one of the shell DLL's
Clutching at straws:
Have you searched your HDD for all files called:
*logo*.*, *lgo*.*, *.lgo, *.sys
Anyway, talkin' of new sigs, The Sarge has just made me one.
What d'ya all think?
