Problems with long mp3s (2.71)

I have problems playing longer mp3s (tried with 74m ):
The position slider starts on the left as usual but it immediately jumps to the right.the sound is not affected but its annoying since I can't "jump around" in the mp3.

im having a problem with the seek bar also. its seems to be happening for me on shorter mp3s (3-5 mins around) but it seems to be only happening on ones with an id3v2 tag, but it doesnt happen on all shorter mp3s with an id3v2 tag, so i dont know :(

Did you endode them with LAME?

I didn't encode them, but it seems so as the file info says

853440kbit (VBR)

I'm pretty sure there's no animal on this planet that will notice the difference..
