If I have a 56k modem and choose a staion with that setting why do I still get buffering, is the only option to choose a station connection at a lesser modem such as 36 or 24, because then it works well but doesnt come in stereo?

Just beacause you have a 56k Modem it does not mean that you connect at 56k, even when you connect at high rates there are alwasy other factors limiting your modems preformance. Stick with the lower streams.

For me all streams need to rebuffer every few seconds. The longest i've got is 2 mins 29 secs. But with WMA i can stream over 7 mins without problems. :(

Having a 56k modem means nothing, because standard phone lines are limited to about 41-42K. It's nearly impossible to connect to a server over the phone lines to the full potential of your modem.

The reason that you don't get stereo is because they lower the quality (and therefore the size) for the lower speed connections, and the simplest way to half thesize is convert the stereo broadcast to mono.
