Wrong, I've tasted Palm. It's good, but just not as good as Grolsch.:)

Grolsch is like...better than regular "lager" =pils, I'd say it's "above average" I'm from Holland too...but the best beers are definetly from Belgium! Palm is very nice, but IMO the best ones are Duvel and especially La Chouffe!

Budweiser's the worst one I've ever had, but then again, I only drink beer I KNOW is good (except when there's no other around)

First of all I'm Belgian myself, so being the booze bag I am, you'll take it from me that it's good.

Plus, last weekend I was in a pub here in my howmtown Antwerp, and there were some Brits. My friends and myself convinced them to order a Duvel at the bar. They went absolutely bonkers. The were wasted after four of them :D They acyually slept on the chairs till we encouraged them to switch to "normal" lager. Those were some toasted Brits :)

Okay, Belgian beer is said to be the best by some so-called experts, but as far as I know it's allowed to put any additives (e.g. cherries) into beer in Belgium and most other countries. In Germany we're very proud of our "Reinheitsgebot" (~law of purity) it's getting 500 years old in 2016 and was always effective since 1516. At least one thing we are proud of. The law only allows water, hop and malt to be used when brewing beer, that's why German beer is the purest and, because most non-German beers weren't allowed to be called "Bier" (that's German for beer), the best.
Don't get me wrong there might be tasty drinks in Belgium called beer, but as they're no beer they don't count. Additionally the only Belgish beer I ever had (Expo2000) was kinda bitter and Heineken which I had to drink in NL wasn't any better than US-american Budweiser, not to be mixed up with the fair Czech one, besides there are many good eastern-european beers as well.

Aight.....this is the deal; I've lived in South Africa, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and I'm not in Belgium...I've tried brewskies from all those countries, and Belgian beers are the best yet...You guys seem to be pretty damn confused...there's NOTHING that beats a cold Stella Artois, or a Palm, a Maes, or a fuckin' Hoegarden...so keep it shut!
