Why use them instead of regular playlists?

Note: winamp doesn't actually read an html playlist (i.e. it's not machine readable). It's only for your own viewing pleasure.

It's trendy cool and in, and for the new eGeneration!

Seriously though, I'm not even quite sure what you mean by this. If you mean the "generate HTML playlist" thing, that's there 'cause you can easily put your playlist to the net without a huge work. And it is handy for that.

If you meant something else, sorry, no idea.

When I chose to reply, nobody had done it yet.
When my message appeared, RM and you had answered in the meantime.
Incredible indeed :)

D2000: are you asking why we create HTML playlists or why an HTML playlist over a regular one?

I create HTML playlists because they're neat and I can up my list for the world to see. And it looks cool.

An HTML playlist doesn't replace .pls or .m3u playlists. HTML playlists only show what is on your playlist. With .pls and .m3u, you can enqueue the list into Winamp and play it or open it with Notepad and view your playlist there.

Your world is pitch black. Why dont you find that damned light switch and stop fooling around!!
