I tried broadcasting at 64k bitrate instead of 56k and it would crash winamp after 5-20 minutes. Anyone got any ideas?

I have heard this happening many times with 64K. Why are you using 64K? The only people who can listen are the DSL, cable, etc listeners so you may as well go to 96 or 128K. Unless of course you are concerned about your bandwidth then you may as well stick with 56K as there is not a lot of difference in sound quality between 56 and 64, at least that I can tell.

Well, I could hear the difference, but it died. I don't have enough upload for 128 - I'd love to broadcast at 128, but I can't afford the server, or the line :\

I agree, not much difference there, and you are losing ISDN listeners.

I am fed up with crap quality, so I am going to ditch my 24K stream and run crappy Windows Media for dia;-up clients - and crank my mp3 to 160KB/s in the next two weeks.
