PIII-450, 256 MB , win98SE, cable modem, soundblaster live drive platinum, 2 7200 rpm 15 gig WD HD's,...uh...something else?

i did notice yesterday that if i dropped the sampling rate a little (24@12,000? i think), it took a little longer to start skipping..is it a bandwith thing? it happens wether or not i have listeners connected...and when it starts, my whole system bogs down terribly...

what was your previous sampling rate?

I get the EXACT SAME error, after about 5 minutes the audio gets distorted. I'm running on a P3-700MHZ - Windows 2000 -384MB RAM - Creative Labs PC512 Sound Card. My previous streaming was at 24000 Kbps at 220000 Khz which worked for a while but now gets distorted. What should I do?
