My apologies, I guess I was not supposed to post this in multiple places (I'm a Newborn as far as forums go!!!) but they have all been closed off now except for this one. I would really appreciate the help if anyone knows whats going on here?????

I have installed and use regularly Winamp and the Shoutcast stations from my home P.C. (cable modem) with zero problems.
I have now installed it on my laptop which uses a DSL connection via our office network at work but cannot seem to connect to any shoutcasts.

Problem 1: During setup I cannot register no matter what I try. The error I get is always "unable to resolve host".

Problem 2: When chosing a station to play nothing happens and in my playlist it says " could not connect http:// (address)).

It may be that I am behind some sort of firewall here at work, whatever that is, and if thats the problem what can I do to get around this?????

Please help, as work in this office is depressing enough. I NEED ME SHOUTCAST!!!

Cheers,

mcallaghan

Sounds like you're firewalled. We can't help you without knowing what type of firewall you're trying to go through and how it's configured. Talk to your network administrator and bring him/her food (That always seems to help, I know I appreciate it.) to bribe them into opening the firewall for you.
