View Full Version : Three Ideas

I'm just gonna throw these out in the open, see if they float.

1) File linking: Say I have several songs (because I do). Two or three (a series) are supposed to be played in a specific order, and I also like the Random option on. I think there should be a way to link these files together so that WinAmp will understand that when one of the three is randomly picked, it starts playing the first one, and then goes on to the next one, and so on, and switches back to Random after the lst one finishes playing.

2) Individual File Volume: Some tracks in certain people's collections play at similar volumes, some do not. MIDIs, in particular, are relatively notorious for playing at a lower volume than say some MODs or MP3s do. The basic premise here is an option that allows the user to determine if the volume on a particular file should be turned up a few notches automatically.

3) Stop at Time...: This is pretty simple. When WinAmp 2.73+ were released, for some reason, certain MOD files started playing for longer periods of time. Some of them sound better in their new form, others sound kinda cheesy with a 20 second intro at the end of the song that cuts off halfway through an otherwise decent riff. There should be an option that allows us to choose whether to manually set when the file playback stops and goes on to the next file.

Feedback is welcome. It'd probably be given whether or not I wrote that at all, now that I think about it.

Hmm... yes...

Now all I need is one that will work on MIDIs, instead of MP3s.

MP3s aren't my problem, but thanks anyway.
